The ATM was able to contact the host processor, but there was an error in the response. This is commonly caused by a problem with the ATM programming. Corrective steps: 1. Reboot the ATM. 2. Verify all communication programming, particularly the host IP address and port number. Verify Standard 1/3 settings, and double-check the terminal ID. 3. Check the terminal IP settings to ensure the ATM has obtained a valid IP and gateway address (if DHCP), or if the static IP values have been entered correctly. 4. Verify the ethernet cable connection. Check the link lights on each end. Power cycle the internet router/switch/modem. 5. Contact the Internet Service Provider to ensure that there are no firewalls on the internet connection or router that need to be bypassed. 6. If this error is persistent, and all other possible causes have been eliminated through troubleshooting, then the I/O board or main board on the ATM may be defective. |
